Interested in coaching a House C team???  Please fill out the application below, register with USA Hockey and complete the Background Check.

To register as a Coach with USA Hockey click on http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ 

To complete the background check. clink on Background Check.  You will receive a confirmation email from MAHA that you have completed this, which will need to be forwarded to Regiatrar@koha.com.

If you do not have a current coaching card then you must signup for the appropriate coaching clinic.

All coaches on the bench in a game MUST have the proper USA Hockey Coaching Level for the age that is being coached.  This applies to any team in the KOHA program which includes Beginning Hockey, House C, House B, Girls, Travel A & AA and Junior Varsity.

The local USA Hockey Coaching Clinics have been scheduled for the 2010-11 season.  All Coaches, including Assistants, must have the proper certification level or they will not be allowed to coach after December 31, 2010.  The following are the USA Hockey Coaching requirements:

Level 1 Beginning Hockey and U-8

Level 2 Squirts; House C, House B and A & AA

Level 3 PeeWee, Bantam, Midget C, Girls; House C, House B and A & AA

Level 4 Midget A , Junior Varsity and Girls U19 (National Tournament bound)

The following are the local Coaching Clinics dates and locations:

Level 1

September 25th Lakeview High SchoolBattle Creek 

October 2nd Western Michigan UniversityFetzer Center

Level 2

October 23rd Western Michigan UniversityFetzer Center

Level 3

October 30th Western Michigan UniversityFetzer Center

Level 4 (this is the only Level 4 in Michigan)

August 20th thru 22nd Marriott Courtyard – Downtown Grand Rapids - THIS CLINIC IS FULL

All team personnel on the bench must have the required Coaching Level as stated above.  Anyone that has not obtained the appropriate Coaching level by December 31st will be removed from the team roster and will not be allowed to participate in any coaching activities for the remainder of the season. 

The coaching levels must be taken in sequence so if anyone has not been to a clinic or their level has expired must begin at level 1.  If any Coaches that need their Level 3 renewed the re-certification can be completed online at USA Hockey.
